Nes|to|ri|an|ism

Nes|to|ri|an|ism
Nes|to|ri|an|ism «nehs TR ee uh NIHZ uhm, -TOHR-», noun.
the doctrine of Nestorius, patriarch of Constantinople from 428 to 431. His teaching differentiated the two natures in Christ so sharply from each other as to disrupt the unity of his person and make it appear that Christ consisted of two persons, one being the Word of God and the other being a human indwelt by the other.
